MATTHEW WOOD— HERBAL ENERGETICS - AN INTUITIVE APPROACH TO HERBALISM

When: September 27-28, 2008
Where: Goldthread Herbal Apothecary, Florence, MA 01062

In this class we will discuss the many different approaches to medicinal plants that rely upon and expand on the intuition. This is the faculty that helps us to see patterns, feel the wholeness of the plant, person, and disease, and the sense of completion and confidence that comes from that intuitive 'aha-moment.' This will include the doctrine of signatures, herbal energetics (hot, cold, damp, dry, tense, relaxed), some simple Chinese medicine, the three doshas, and more.
