Held every November, NEHA's Annual Retreat
is an informal opportunity for our members
to gather together for relaxation, learning
and fun. For many, it has become a time for
reconnection with self, community and nature
as the autumnal season winds down.
This year we'll explore ancient trails and
luxuriate in the Olympic-size,
heated indoor swimming pool on nearly
600 unspoiled acres in the Finger Lakes
region of NY.
Friday night is Wild Fermentation with the
"Witches of Westchester" Alicia North and
Bonnie Rogers. On Saturday morning, Chris
Marano will impart his wisdom about Chinese
tonic herbs followed by a plant walk with
Andrea and Matthias Reisen. After lunch,
Tammi Sweet will reveal practical knowledge
for Women's Health. Relaxation and the
annual seed exchange will be followed by
dinner and a very special keynote from one
of our most respected herbal elders.
After our first riotous game of Herbal
Jeopardy last year, council has created
another hilarious version for this year's
festivities sure to make you roll on the
floor with laughter while learning some
obscure facts about our beloved plants! Of
course this effect will only be enhanced by
the cordial tasting and sharing lest anyone
take themselves too seriously! On Sunday
morning, Ryan will enlighten us with his
unique perspective on Men's health and
longevity before we depart for home.
DON'T MISS IT!!
There is an early bird special if
registering before September 15th. Early
bird rate is $200 and after that date the
cost will be $225 per person. The sliding
scale fee will run from $225 to $300 per
person. |
