YARROW: A DEEP DIVE INTO THIS POTENT, MULTI-FACETED HEALER
with Hillary-Joy Pitoniak

Hillary-Joy’s love for plants and all things nature began at a young age, picking flowers in the outfield and reciting Dr. Suess’ ‘The Lorax’ before she was even able to read. As she grew, her love for the green world grew along with her, and one plant in particular became her greatest love of all. This plant is Yarrow (Achillea millefolium).

In this class, Hillary-Joy will share her initial introduction to Yarrow as a medicinal plant and her experiences in using it since. She will be going over Yarrow’s myriad of uses, including its historical and modern medicinal applications, energetics, and benefits simply as a garden plant. It is her hope that you will leave loving Yarrow just as much as she does!
Hillary-Joy began formally studying herbs while in college where she received her B.S. in Biology and Philosophy. Later, in 2008, she completed 7Song’s Herbalism Program at the Northeast School of Botanical Medicine. In the years since, Hillary-Joy has apprenticed with Lisa Fazio of The Root Circle; done intensive studies under Stephen Buhner (Gaia’s Mind), David Dalton (Flower Essence Practitioner Program), Kate Gilday (Ayurveda), and Chris Marano (Chinese 5 Elements); and taken countless classes in-person, online, and at numerous conferences. Today, Hillary-Joy works in the Biology Department at Hamilton College and is also a practicing community herbalist, shamanic healer, and wilderness skills instructor.

CRONING CEREMONY
with Gayle Gineo Nogas

A Croning ceremony is a significant celebration honoring the wisdom and experience of older women. It serves as a rite of passage into the later years of life and acknowledges women, typically over the age of 60, who have moved past menopause as wise individuals. The ceremony is a respectful and celebratory occasion, often led by women who have already attained the revered status of crone.
